A well-planned transit system is a key element in connecting our neighborhoods to each other and to downtown.
Transit stations should be public gathering places that attract new investment and development.
Smart Growth Ogden's plan for improving mass transit in the city, reducing congestion on the streets, fostering economic development and making the city more attractive to visitors is the same plan that the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and the Wasatch Front Regional Council recommended as the best option for improving transit in Ogden: a street car (or trolley) line to run between downtown, Weber State University and McKay-Dee Hospital.
